Like a lot of friends of mine. Jack, is Jack. He's of those artists who's music will always have a spot in my old iPod. Those records of his that really put him on the map, will always take me back to my hometown, my home city, with particular friends, and Friday afternoons before Summer.

Theres something really innocent, yet cool about the way Jack Johnson's music came into people lives at the time he blew up. This was the first big hit from the Hawaiian kid and it really showed what a hit record looked like on him. That hush-voice could always hide darker lyrics...
